My Beta Team is a select group of people who read my books while I’m writing or shortly after draft, who give feedback and recommendations on changes before final edits.

What is a Beta Team?

A beta team is a group of dedicated readers who are given early access to a manuscript of the author’s upcoming book. The purpose of the beta team is to provide feedback on the story, characters, pacing, plot, and other elements of the book before it is finalized and published. Beta readers are typically selected by the author based on their interest in the genre, their ability to provide constructive criticism, and their willingness to commit to reading and providing feedback within a specified timeframe. Beta readers are often asked to fill out surveys or provide written feedback on specific aspects of the book, and their input can help the author identify areas that need improvement or clarification before the book is released to the public. Being part of a beta team can be a rewarding experience for readers who enjoy getting an inside look at the writing and publishing process and who want to help authors create the best possible books.

How do I join the Beta Team?

Fill out the form below to apply to join my Beta Team. It’s not a job interview so don’t sweat it too much but I do need to know that the time I take to onboard you, share pre-release content, and discuss my book baby will be worth it.

How will the book be delivered?

Manuscript delivery will primarly be through BookFunnel but may depend on the preferences of each Beta Team member. I’m willing to deliver my pre-edits in your preferred format if you can’t, for some reason, use BookFunnel. Most documents will be handled by BookFunnel, a trusted book delivery service that delivers more than 2 million ebooks every month for indie authors. Bookfunnel will deliver my book to you in the format and for the device that you prefer.

How do I leave the Team?

Other than manuscript delivery, Beta Team actions are not automated at this time so you will need to email me and let me know you no longer wish to be on the team. No hard feelings, thank you for being a part of my Beta Team!
